In my day to day cooking I kinda just chuck things together. I go in with a vague idea, put a bit of this and that in, and play around till it tastes yum. I mean there is the odd disaster along the way but usually everything turns out ok. But it’s those odd disaster fears that have me reaching for recipes whenever I have to cook for a lot of people. I want something tested and a photo to see what it’s supposed to look like!
This was one of those times.
I had a whole bunch of white nectarines a couple bags of frozen blackberries and a request for crumble… for 60 people…tonight.
After spending too long on Pinterest, (hours can go before I realise on there) I gave up and went back to one of my favorite sites Minimalist Baker and pretty quickly settled on her “Easy Peach Crisp”. Nectarines and peaches are the same right? That’s what I thought.
Clingy nectarines might not have been a good choice – those stones were not coming out. On the upside that neat trash pile made me happier than it should. Argh I love it.
It was hard to get a good picture of the minis 🙁 I have no photo skills people!
